This was taken at Julie and Perry's house the first Christmas they were married. I believe that the gift he just opened is a cross-stitched Christmas ornament that Julie made for him. He still lived in New Hampshire at this time, and he traveled down at holiday seasons and during the summers sometimes. The day after Christmas was always a day to enjoy because Dad, Julie and I would go to the mall and we'd have a lot of fun finding special buys. We continued to do that until Dad's failing health prevented us from continuing that tradition.
