The next few pages are memories that Karen, Leigh and I
wrote, as well as a poem that Karen wrote, and the lyrics to a song very special
to me that has really ministered to me in this time of sorrow. I have more
things to add, but wanted to at least get these on here.
My father went on to be with the Lord after a long battle with Emphysema caused
by years and years of smoking. I would like to take this opportunity to thank
Linda Schrader, who was so instrumental in helping both my dad and me come to
terms with his illness and find peace in the Lord. She was one of his
respiratory therapists in the nursing home that he lived in the last couple
months of his life. I feel like she went way beyond the call of duty in
ministering to us, and for that I am grateful.
